How to book a trip for two

Four steps, by email, from the first form to a day plan with your sunset times in it. Here is what we need at each step and why.

Four steps

  1. 01

    Send the form

Dates or a month, the trip you are looking at, and anything you already booked, such as flights or a hotel.

  2. 02

    Get the plan and quote

We reply by email with a day plan for your dates, the sunset time for each planned evening, the hotels named and one price for two.

  3. 03

    Confirm

Through the payment steps set out on your quotation. We then book the hotels, the car, the boat and the photographer.

  4. 04

    Receive the final plan

About a week before you fly: pick-up times, the boat and pier, the photographer's meeting point and each rain plan.

Everything is in writing, so you can check it against what you asked for. Payment methods, the deposit and the cancellation terms are written on your quotation.

What to put in the first message

  • Dates, or a month. The month decides the sunset time and the coast; the sunset calendar shows why.
  • Flights, if you have them. Landing at 22:00 changes day one. Leaving at 08:00 changes the last day.
  • A hotel you like, or a budget per night. Either works. Naming one hotel tells us more than a star rating.
  • The occasion. Honeymoon, anniversary, a proposal. It changes the dinner bookings, not the price.
  • Anything to plan around. Seasickness, dietary needs, mobility, a fear of early alarms.

The contact page explains the form field by field and what happens to your details.

How far ahead to book

Travel periodBookWhy
Lunar New Year and the weeks before it2–3 months aheadLarge hotels, especially 4–5 star, fill early; international visitors peak from Christmas to Tet
30 April – 1 May holiday2–3 months aheadMost rooms on the island were reported sold out over this holiday in 2022
June to August6–8 weeks aheadSummer is the domestic high season
November to March, outside holidays4–6 weeks aheadDry season, but more choice
September and October2–4 weeks aheadQuieter; the boat is weather-dependent

These are planning margins, not rules. Short notice often works for the boat and the photo session on their own; it is the hotels that run out.

Visas and entry

Foreign visitors who fly into Phu Quoc directly through an international gate can stay up to 30 days without a visa. The exemption covers Phu Quoc only. If you plan to visit anywhere else in Vietnam, you need a visa first; Vietnam issues e-visas valid up to 90 days to citizens of all countries. Some governments advise their citizens to hold a visa even for an island-only trip, in case of medical or flight disruption. Check the official rules for your passport before booking flights.

Changes after booking

Weather is the usual reason a plan changes during the trip. A planned sunset may move to the next evening, the boat may be rescheduled, the photo session may switch from the west coast to the east. These changes do not change the price. If you need to change dates before travel, tell us as soon as you know; the cost depends on the hotels' terms and how close it is to arrival, as set out on your quotation.

Phu Quoc is a special zone (đặc khu) of An Giang province since 1 July 2025. You may see older documents and maps refer to it as part of a different province; addresses on your confirmations use the current name.

Before you send the form

  • Read the 'not for' list on the trip page. If one point describes you, tell us; we may suggest a different shape.
  • Check your month in the sunset calendar.
  • Look at the quiet-beaches guide if crowds matter to you.
  • Compare the three bases on the areas page.

Common questions

Questions travellers ask most

Can we book only the sunset boat?

Yes. Send the form with your hotel and dates; the boat and the photo session can each be booked alone.

Do you need our passport details?

Not to quote. To book hotels and the boat, we need your names exactly as written in your passports; hotels check the passports themselves at check-in.

Can you arrange a proposal or a surprise?

We can book the table, the flowers or the boat and keep it quiet. Tell us in the form, and tell us which email address the plan should go to.

Dates, party size and the places you care about are enough to start. You get a draft route and an indicative price, not a brochure.
