Phu Quoc for two, timed to the light
Honeymoon and couple trips on Phu Quoc, built around three things that decide how the island feels: where the sun sets in your month, which beach is quiet at which hour, and how many empty days you leave yourselves.
Start from the question you have now
Charming Phu Quoc plans trips for two people on one island. No group departures, no family itineraries, no golf. Pick the door that matches where you are in your planning.
We want a trip we can book
A five-night honeymoon, a seven-night north-and-south version, a private sunset boat and a half-day photo session. Each page shows the day plan, the light times and what is included. See the four trips.
We are choosing where to stay
Long Beach and Dinh Cau, Bai Sao and the south-east coast, Sunset Town and the Kiss Bridge. What each is like at sunset, at 07:00 and in the rain. Compare the areas.
We have not picked a month yet
Sunset times, sun direction and rainy days for every month, and the coast that works in each. Read the sunset calendar or the quiet-beach guide.

| Phu Quoc honeymoon, 5 nights | 6 days | Two bases, two empty days, two planned sunsets plus an optional boat | November to April | On request |
| North and south, 7 nights | 8 days | Quiet north-west first, livelier south second | November to April | On request |
| Sunset boat for two | About 4 hours | A private boat on the west coast at the last light | November to April; May to October weather-dependent | On request |

Prices are quoted for your dates because two variables move them more than anything else: the hotels you choose and the month. The pricing page lists what each part costs on the open market, with published figures and their dates, so you can check our quote line by line.
Why the sunset decides the plan
Phu Quoc's sunsets happen over the sea only on its west-facing shores: Long Beach and Dinh Cau, the north-west beaches around Ong Lang and Ganh Dau, and the south-west tip where Sunset Town and the Kiss Bridge stand. The south-east coast around Bai Sao faces the other way. It is a sunrise coast, and a couple who book a whole stay there expecting evening colour over the water will be disappointed.
The time moves too. On the 15th of each month in 2026, the computed sunset at Duong Dong ranges from 17:40 in November to 18:31 in July. In December and January the sun goes down south of due west; in June and July it sets well north of west. That shift is why the Kiss Bridge's two arms line up with the setting sun on 1 January and not in July, and why we move dinner bookings by up to fifty minutes depending on your month.
Weather is the other half. The dry months, November to April, bring calm water and clear skies to the west coast. From May to October the south-west monsoon pushes bigger waves onto that same coast, while the east side goes calm. The sunset calendar puts all of this in one table.

How a day is paced on our trips
We plan around two windows: the first two hours after sunrise and the last two hours before sunset. The beaches are quietest early, and the light is softest at both ends of the day. Between about 11:00 and 14:00 the UV is strong enough that beach-safety guides on the island advise staying out of the water, so we leave that block empty: a long lunch, the pool, a sleep.
Every itinerary has empty days written in. On a five-night trip, two of the days have nothing booked at all. On seven nights, there are three. A honeymoon with an activity every morning and a transfer every afternoon leaves no time for the reason you came.
- Mornings: the beach you are staying on, or an early drive to Bai Sao before it fills.
- Midday: unscheduled. Shade, food, rest.
- Late afternoon: one planned thing at most. A sunset spot, the boat, or the photo session.
- Evening: dinner, booked to start after the light has gone, not during it.

Romantic dinners without the guesswork
A beach table at sunset is the request we hear most, and it is also the one most often booked for the wrong time. A table set for 19:00 in November starts more than an hour after the sun has set at 17:40. A table for 17:30 in July puts you at dinner an hour before the light goes. We book against the computed sunset for your date and the direction the table faces.
Options range from a resort beach dinner on Long Beach, where one resort publishes a private set-up at VND 9,150,000++ per couple (published price, October 2026; confirm before travel), to grilled crab and sea urchin in the fishing village of Ham Ninh, to the food stalls of the Duong Dong night market, which opens at 17:00 and is busiest between 19:00 and 21:00. The honeymoon itinerary shows where each fits.

Who we are not the right company for
- Families planning theme-park days. We do not book them, and our hotel picks favour quiet over kids' clubs.
- Couples who want a long slow stay of two weeks with daily spa programmes. Our trips are five to seven nights.
- Groups of friends travelling together, or weddings with guests. Every trip is planned for two.
- Anyone who needs a fixed boat trip on a fixed date in September or October. Sea conditions decide, and we will not promise otherwise.

Common questions
Questions travellers ask most
Which month gives the clearest sunsets on Phu Quoc?
January to March have the fewest rainy days in the climate record, under seven a month, and the west coast is calm in the dry season. December is close behind with about six; April already averages about twelve. From May to October each month averages 19 to 24 rainy days.
Do we need a visa for a Phu Quoc-only honeymoon?
Foreign visitors entering Phu Quoc directly through an international gate can stay up to 30 days without a visa, but only on the island. If you plan to visit anywhere else in Vietnam, you need a visa first. Check the official rules for your passport before booking flights.
Can we combine a trip with a stay we already booked?
Yes. Tell us the hotel and dates in the form. We plan the sunset boat, the photo session and the dinners around where you are staying, and the quote covers only what you add.
How far ahead should we write?
We suggest two to three months ahead for Lunar New Year and the 30 April to 1 May holiday, and four to six weeks for the rest of the dry season.
